Star Citizen Alpha 4.10.1 patch notes: Orison Relief and 37 fixes

Alpha 4.10.1 reached LIVE, the public release servers, on September 16, 2026. It follows up the Siege of Orison patch with a limited-time set of rebuilding contracts called Orison Relief Support, a handful of gameplay changes, and 37 bug fixes aimed at problems that could cost you an entire play session.

Your progress carries over: CIG lists long term persistence as preserved, so ships, items and money stay where they were. New characters start with 20,000 aUEC, the alpha version of the in-game currency. The launcher should show version 4.10.1-LIVE.12650677.

Orison Relief Support: 14 contracts and six rewards

The headline addition is a relief effort for Orison, the floating city on Crusader that the Nine Tails gang attacked in Alpha 4.10. CIG says 14 new contracts are available for the next three weeks, until Alpha 4.10.2 arrives. They come from four in-game providers and cover very different kinds of work, so you do not need a combat ship to take part.

  • Cornerstone Developments handles reconstruction: resource gathering runs into Orison and Seraphim station, plus a crafting job built around a part called the TH-01 Propulsor
  • Covalex and Ling cover the medical response: collect medical supplies and iodine from New Babbage, its rooftops and Port Tressler, then deliver them to Orison, the Orison rooftops and Seraphim
  • Foxwell handles security: ship ambush and wave attack contracts in space, and an on-foot contract to clear Nine Tails out of outposts

How the reward track works

Every completed contract adds to a personal progress track. There is no shared community goal and no race against other players; each reward is granted to your account as you pass its threshold. If you complete a contract in a party, the points are divided between the party members.

The six rewards unlock in a fixed order, and they arrive as finished items rather than crafting blueprints. CIG says event rewards are attributed to your RSI account and can be seen in the My Hangar section of the website.

The crafting contract needs an Item Fabricator. The TH-01 Propulsor blueprint comes attached to the contract and appears on the fabricator’s own terminal along with the materials it needs. If you do not own a fabricator, you have to buy one from a shop, unload it at a freight elevator and set it up in a hangar or a ship’s cargo bay.

  • S-38 SecondWind pistol
  • FBL-8a SecondWind light armor
  • P4-AR SecondWind rifle
  • ORC-mkX SecondWind medium armor
  • Lumin V SecondWind SMG
  • ADP-mk4 SecondWind heavy armor

Gameplay changes

The rest of the feature list is short but practical.

  • Ground vehicles can now enter soft death, the disabled-but-not-destroyed state ships already had. A beaten-up rover is left inert instead of going straight from working to wreck
  • Loot harvested from creatures and plants now comes in graded quality brackets. That covers Kopion horns, Marok pearls, Valakkar fangs and pearls and many plants, so check what you gathered before selling or crafting with it
  • Barrel compensators and stabilizers in all three sizes moved into the general loot pool, so weapon attachments turn up far more reliably while looting
  • Hauling contracts with several pickup points now split cargo by the size of each pickup, measured in SCU (standard cargo units), instead of stacking everything in one location
  • The Aegis Sabre series received an audio remake, and the AMRS size 3 and size 4 laser cannons got new sound

The bug fixes that matter most

CIG says 4.10.1 closes 37 issues, 16 of which came through the Issue Council, the player bug-reporting site. Three client crashes and two server crashes are among them. The focus was on bugs that strand you or waste a session.

  • ASOP terminals, where you call up your ships: the Retrieve button could grey out and leave a vehicle impossible to spawn, and ships could stick on moving to storage. Both shared a root cause that is now fixed
  • Freight elevators no longer get stuck in a transferring state when raised at full capacity
  • The hotkey for asking Air Traffic Control for landing or takeoff works again
  • The Starmap now plots routes around large obstacles, including Stanton’s star, and from inside a station to a destination on its far side
  • Armistice zones, the areas where weapons are disabled, were missing across Orison and are back
  • Most of the Drake Clipper’s hull took no damage; duplicate collision shapes were removed so it can be hit normally
  • Introductory refuelling contracts asked for quantum fuel as well as hydrogen and showed the wrong amounts. They now ask for hydrogen only
  • The Kruger S-65 Stingray no longer spawns partly inside the hangar floor

Hotfixes already applied since 4.10 launched

The notes also list 26 fixes that reached LIVE as hotfixes in the weeks after 4.10.0. If you stopped playing shortly after the Siege of Orison release because of crashes or stuck missions, these are the ones to know about.

  • Recco Battaglia’s second and third story contracts were never created on busy servers, leaving players with no follow-up after the first
  • A vehicle with an expired idle timer was impounded again within seconds of every retrieval
  • Arrow key and gamepad D-pad navigation stopped working in the mobiGlas, the wrist computer interface
  • The audio thread could cause significant frame rate drops, and a client crash with Vulkan on the latest Nvidia drivers was addressed on September 8
  • Several server crashes, including one where a mission prop in a player’s inventory could hold a server in a crash loop for over an hour

What this means for new players

This is a good patch to start on. The fixes target exactly the things that frustrate a first week: ships that will not spawn, cargo contracts that cannot be finished, routes that will not plot, and beginner refuelling jobs that asked for the wrong fuel. The Orison Relief contracts also include delivery and gathering work that a starter ship can do, with armor and weapons as rewards, but they are only scheduled to run for about three weeks until Alpha 4.10.2. Frequently Asked Questions

When did Star Citizen Alpha 4.10.1 release?

Alpha 4.10.1 was released to the LIVE servers on September 16, 2026. The launcher version is 4.10.1-LIVE.12650677.

Was there a wipe in Alpha 4.10.1?

No. CIG lists long term persistence as preserved for 4.10.1, so your ships, items and aUEC carry over. New characters start with 20,000 aUEC.

How long does Orison Relief Support last?

CIG says the 14 contracts are available for three weeks, until the release of Alpha 4.10.2. It has not given an exact end date, so treat that as a target rather than a fixed deadline.

Are the Orison Relief rewards blueprints?

No. The six SecondWind weapons and armor sets are granted as finished items as you pass each point threshold. Only the TH-01 Propulsor crafting contract involves a blueprint, and that is a delivery item, not a reward.

Do I have to fight to earn the Orison Relief rewards?

No. The contracts include resource gathering, medical supply deliveries and a crafting job alongside the combat contracts from Foxwell, and every completed contract adds to the same personal progress track.
