CIG’s October 2026 subscriber promotions, published October 6, are themed for Day of the Vara, Star Citizen’s Halloween. Centurion subscribers get a Behring CQ7 Skullcap rifle, Imperator subscribers get that plus a Virgil ForceFlex Skeleton suit with a Doomsday helmet, and every subscriber can buy a Skeleton Kit in the Subscriber Store. The ships of the month are the Drake Pitbull and the Drake Ironclad Assault.
Subscribers are players who pay a monthly fee on top of their game package in exchange for monthly flair items, ship rentals and store discounts. Here is what October’s package contains.
Centurion flair: Behring CQ7 Skullcap rifle
The CQ7 is Behring’s bullpup battle rifle, built for close-quarters engagements. The Skullcap edition puts skulls over a black base coat. Current Centurion-level subscribers receive it as part of their subscription.
Imperator flair: Virgil ForceFlex Skeleton suit and Doomsday helmet
Imperator subscribers receive the Skeleton Suit and Helmet in addition to the rifle. It combines the Virgil ForceFlex undersuit with a Doomsday Skullcap helmet, both in a skeleton theme. CIG calls it as functional as it is fearsome, which in practice means a themed version of existing gear.
Skeleton Kit in the Subscriber Store
For subscribers at either level, a Skeleton Kit is available to pledge for in the Subscriber Store. CIG describes it as an armor and weapon kit with a skeleton theme across each piece.
Ships of the month: Drake Pitbull and Ironclad Assault
Each month subscribers get temporary access to one or two ships. Centurion subscribers get the Drake Pitbull with 12-month insurance; Imperator subscribers get the Drake Ironclad Assault and the Pitbull with 24-month insurance.
The Pitbull is the smallest combat vessel in Drake’s lineup, described as easy to haul and deploy and dangerous in numbers. The Ironclad Assault is the armed version of Drake’s large hauler, combining its cargo capacity with heavier weapons to get cargo, troops and vehicles to their destination intact.
What this means for new players
A subscription is not something a new player needs. The flair is cosmetic or themed versions of gear you can find in the game, and the monthly ships are temporary. If you are curious about the Pitbull or the Ironclad Assault, the subscription is one way to try them in October, but a cheaper way is to crew on a friend’s ship or rent in game. Decide whether you enjoy the game first. Our Star Citizen referral code guide explains how the 50,000 UEC signup bonus works and how to apply code STAR-6WPK-3K56 before you enlist.
