Orison Relief Support, the rebuilding event that arrived with Alpha 4.10.1, runs until October 7. That is the main date in CIG’s This Week in Star Citizen post for September 21, and it matters because the event’s full set of SecondWind gear only goes to players who see the effort through.
The same post says Alpha 4.10.2 is about to enter Evocati testing, that the Game Library system switches on October 1, and that a new question-and-answer show starts October 5. Here is everything in it that affects how you plan the next two weeks.
Orison Relief Support: what to do before October 7
Alpha 4.10.1 reached the LIVE servers, the public release version of the game, last week. It brought the Aegis Sabre Raven EX and started Orison Relief Support, a relief effort for Orison, the floating city on Crusader that was attacked during Siege of Orison.
Until October 7 you can take contracts that help rebuild the city. CIG lists combat, salvage, crafting and hauling supplies, so there is work for pilots who do not own a fighter. Alpha 4.10.2 goes to Evocati next
CIG thanked testers for pushing 4.10.1 through the PTU, the Public Test Universe where patches are tried before release, and for the feedback from the Time-to-Kill balance test. It then said Alpha 4.10.2 will begin Evocati PTU testing shortly, with wider waves to follow.
Evocati is the small, invited group of volunteer testers who see a build first and work under a non-disclosure agreement. Wider waves means more backers get access in stages after that. No public patch notes exist yet, so treat anything you read about 4.10.2 as unconfirmed until CIG posts notes for an open wave. Bugs and feedback go through the Issue Council and the dedicated Spectrum threads.
Pirate Week is still running
Pirate Week 2026 is not over. The Most Wanted contest is still open for players who want a reputation in the ‘verse, and the treasure hunt for the doubloon is wrapping up. CIG says the final clue is hidden inside the September 21 post itself, so anyone still chasing it should read that page closely.
Game Library starts October 1, choose your pledge by November 1
Following its earlier announcement on pledge gifting and game access, CIG has published an FAQ on the new Game Library system. It takes effect on October 1, 2026. After that you can select your preferred pledge for the new system during a window that runs through November 1.
If you own more than one game package, note both dates and read the FAQ before the window opens.
A new show, a survey and no roadmap update this week
CIG introduced 10 From the Community, a new show that debuts on October 5. It is meant to be short and focused, built around player questions, with each episode covering a different area of Star Citizen’s development. Questions for the first episode can be submitted through the announcement, and players vote on which ones get answered.
CIG is also reviewing its show lineup and will send out a survey asking what players want to see, whether that is an old favourite returning or something new.
Wednesday would normally bring a Roadmap Update and Roadmap Roundup. CIG skipped both this week, saying Alpha 4.11 development is on track and there were no notable changes to report. The next Roadmap Update is planned in two weeks.
